Product description:
- Etrifix 500 micrograms/gram shampoo.
- One gram of shampoo contains 500 micrograms of clobetasol propionate.
- A viscous, transparent, colorless to pale yellow liquid with an alcoholic odor.
- Topical treatment for moderate scalp psoriasis in adults.
Usage guidelines:
- Etrifix 500 microgram/gram shampoo should be applied directly to the dry scalp once a day, taking care to cover the lesions well and massage them in.
- An amount equivalent to about half a tablespoon (about 7.5 ml) per application is sufficient to completely cover the scalp.
- The total dose should not exceed 50 grams per week.
- For cutaneous use on the scalp only.
- After use, apply Etrifix 500 micrograms/gram shampoo:
- It should remain uncovered for 15 minutes. Hands should be washed thoroughly after application.
- After 15 minutes, the product should be rinsed thoroughly with water and/or the hair can be washed using an additional amount of regular shampoo if necessary to make washing easier.
- After that, the hair can be dried as usual.
- The duration of treatment should be limited to a maximum of 4 weeks.
- Once clinical results are observed, applications should be spaced out or replaced, if necessary, with an alternative treatment.
- If no improvement is observed within four weeks, it may be necessary to reassess the diagnosis.
- Repeated courses of Etrifix 500 micrograms/gram shampoo may be used to control exacerbations, provided the patient is under regular medical supervision.
Warnings and precautions:
- Hypersensitivity to corticosteroids.
- Therefore, Kaupitasol propionate is not recommended in patients with hypersensitivity to other corticosteroids .
